From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
the name of the Lord is to be praised.
Yesterday, after two full days of rain, the sun appeared. We needed the rain, but it’s so good to see light washing over the earth, feel it warming the skin, soaking the soul in hope for a new day.
It’s amazing what a difference that makes. How, right in the middle of the gray and gloomy, joy can rise up.
And it takes you by surprise, all over again.
Makes you want to applaud God and say “Thank you!”
Hope your weekend is full of happy surprises.

Spring is in the air! At least it is around here.
Actually, I’ve been noticing signs of spring for some time now.
Seems it got the invitation early and couldn’t wait to get here.
Unlike winter, who never did show up for the party.
Oh well, I am ready to enjoy this wonderful “season of singing”! And my clock is ready to officially spring forward this weekend.
How about you?
Are you enjoying spring in your neck of the woods?
For the second time this winter, I awoke to snow. Needless to say, this is a happy day for me! I made my first feeble attempt at building a snowman but hope to build a much bigger and jollier version with my husband later.
Until then, I am enjoying the sight of huge white flakes free-falling to earth in a silent symphony that evokes the memory of a lyric from the Christmas classic, Joy to the World:
“And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven, and heaven and nature sing…”
And I am singing too.
