No Compromise – The Battle for Religious Freedom

Seek the LordSeek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. Isaiah 55:6-7

In a time when many people are bowing to the bully of political correctness, it is refreshing to see someone standing up for the truth. In this Decision Magazine article, Kim Davis describes what it’s like to come under attack for being faithful to her religious convictions.

She is quoted as saying, “If the Word of God isn’t worth fighting for, I don’t know anything that is.”

Let that sink in.

This is the new reality in America. The freedom that was once our birthright, we now have to fight for – but it’s a fight we will ultimately win. Because God has not forgotten His people.

So let us not forget Him.

Let’s continue to proclaim God’s message of mercy for those who forsake their sin and turn to Him. And may we never compromise our beliefs for fear of man but trust in His almighty power to help us speak and live the truth!

“I, I am he who comforts you; who are you that you are afraid of man who dies, of the son of man who is made like grass, and have forgotten the Lord, your Maker, who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth, and you fear continually all the day because of the wrath of the oppressor, when he sets himself to destroy? And where is the wrath of the oppressor? He who is bowed down shall speedily be released; he shall not die and go down to the pit, neither shall his bread be lacking. I am the Lord your God, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the Lord of hosts is his name. And I have put my words in your mouth and covered you in the shadow of my hand, establishing the heavens and laying the foundations of the earth, and saying to Zion, ‘You are my people.’” Isaiah 51:12-16

I hope this trailer from the recent movie War Room will inspire you as it does me to pray with the same passion and urgency for our families, our nation and our world.
