Just As He Said – The Truth About Easter

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.” Matthew 28:5-7

Have you been lied to?
Let down by someone you trusted?
Disillusioned by people who claimed to be something they’re not?
How’s that good, you ask?
Because now you can spot a phony.
Now you can better decipher truth from lies.
Now you can appreciate the words of Jesus, all the more.
The One who died so that we might have eternal life.
Who went to hell and back, literally, for our freedom.
Who said He would rise again, and then he did.
Just as He said.
After the resurrection, Jesus appeared to many to prove His claims were true.
He showed His wounds to the doubters so wounded spirits could be healed.
And He wants you to know, He’s not like all the others. You can trust Him.
The Risen Christ will never let you down.
The song below is the Keith Green version of  Easter Song, originally recorded by 2nd Chapter of Acts and written by Annie Herring. I hope it will bless you as you reflect on the power and hope of the resurrection.

Happy Easter!

  1. Beautiful version of that song! I just finished singing along.
And I love your post. I was working on something else for Easter Sunday, but now I want to either change it or add the whole dimension of “just as he said” to the mix.

  2. Lovely, and so powerful…. and he said, “It is finished!” The finished work of Christ is our hope and initiative to live kingdom lives!!!! Happy Resurrection Weekend!!!!!
