God Is Speaking

The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.”
Psalm 19:1-2
When I am blessed with pleasant weather and blue skies,
I wander outside.
I step quietly into an ever-changing canvas,
alive with wonder and beauty.
Nature reflects the awe-inspiring work of the Master Artist.
His brush drips grace like wet paint over the earth,
over all of his creation.
He speaks and his message is heard
 by those with eyes to see and ears to hear.
May our eyes be open today. May our ears be ever listening.
Because He is speaking.

  1. Beautifully put. I often look to the mountains and their grandness and think of the Lord, praising Him for his awesome works in creation. He really does breath-taking work. 🙂

    God bless!

  2. Loved the line~”He dips grace like wet paint over the earth…”
    I see His awesome majesty in His creation and my heart swells with praise, too.
    Just this week, I spent some time on our patio, enjoying the warbling of the birds and the beauty of our trees. Even though it’s a desert summer, it seemed peaceful and comfortable under the patio covering:) So, why haven’t I done this more?

  3. I went outside in a thunderstorm yesterday (well, I was under the porch) and felt God in the storm. It’s an amazing feeling.

  4. Oh AMEN, Angel! I was outside this morning looking at all the damp green grass and trees after our storm last night. We’ve had a lot of storms lately, and I was overwhelmed with the “greening” of my lawn and life after the five year drought. I was overwhelmed with gratitude for the green and told Him so.

  5. I LOVE this time of year everything is blooming and showing it’s glory. And the weather isn’t too hot so you can still go outside and enjoy it:)
