Our Way of Escape

It’s amazing how looking at a photograph can instantly transport you to another place. A momentary escape from wherever you might be to wherever you might rather be.
These are a few pics I wanted to share from a recent trip to San Antonio. I hope you enjoy your stroll along the Riverwalk through these photos!

Do you feel like you need an escape today? Me too. Let’s close our eyes together and see another picture – the one of our Heavenly Father, with arms wide open, reaching out to us.

He draws us in and holds us close to His heart and, there, He whispers words of comfort, love and peace. Can you hear Him?

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”
Isaiah 43:2

Thank you, Lord, that you are here with us – our shield when we need protection, our comfort when we need assurance, our escape when we need rest. Let us be encouraged by these truths. Amen

  1. Thanks Cassandra – I like that you said “nothing we walk through is wasted when we know the Lord” – good reminder.

  2. Good verse, even though I hate the passing through waters and rivers and fires. Absolutely hate it.

How good it is that nothing we walk through is wasted when we know the Lord.
